Eggs come naturally when a hen matures, children, too, often arrive as the natural outcome of traditional marriage. Karen and her father are sometimes close, mostly distant. His love always comes across as nonchalant. Paralyzed by the rigid role society forced upon him, he finds himself lost in a forest that should feel home. As she grows up, Karen peers through the mist, hoping to glimpse the man behind the mask — a father struggling with his own regrets.
